Real Wedding: Julia and Benjamin's Whimsical "Where the Wild Things Are" Wedding in Cl

Without a doubt, this is one of the most fun weddings we've seen! From corgis to cat shoes and a "Where the Wild Things Are" theme, there are whimsical and unique details at every turn. On top of that, it's just downright pretty with gorgeous florals, a beautiful Christos wedding gown, and an adorable couple.

From the bride, Julia:

We wanted our wedding to really showcase who we are as a couple. We love entertaining people at our house and try to pay close attention to every detail when we do, while still keeping things relaxed and fun. We tried to bring those same concepts to our wedding. Basically, we wanted it to be the biggest party we ever threw...and just happened to get married at. Our theme and inspiration was “Where the Wild Things Are” and our goal was to have a causal yet elegant feel. We decorated with lush greens, vintage ceramic cats (that we had collected from local thrift stores over the course of a year), cardboard cutouts of our fur family (4 cats and 1 dog) and unique decorations and signage made by our talented friends. We had a huge bridal party, 9 groomsmen, 9 bridesmaids, two flower maids (adult flower girls) and their escorts. We wanted the day to be memorable for our friends as well as us! We had to have our favorite foods including a taco bar and mashed potato bar. It was also important we had our favorite craft beer as well as an abundance of High Life’s too! We had the best DJ who played Bowie and Taking Heads all night and did not play one single traditional wedding song. And of course we ended the night with a late night pizza food truck.

You can read more of about their wedding on their blog, Beard & The Broad.
