A Classy, Cleveland-Themed Real Wedding in Little Italy

We love a wedding that looks like a great party, and this one certainly fits the bill! The bride and groom wanted their wedding to focus on the city they love, Cleveland, as well as their ethnic heritage, and they did so in really fun ways, like a Lebanese band and bocce ball! Their white, gold and black color palette is so classic, and the bridal party looks amazing in all-white. This is definitely a party we'd want to attend!

From the bride, Maria:

Ben and I were seeking to host a classy, Cleveland-themed wedding. We were born and raised here; our love blossomed in the 2-1-6; and we wanted to highlight our plum of a city throughout our day, especially for our out-of-town guests. We borrowed our designer's idea to ransack the photo archives at the Cleveland Public Library for old pics of some of the greatest Cleveland landmarks of yester-year to dot our decor. Sobella was able to include the CLE’s golden skyline on our invitations, and Chocolate Cleveland skylines from Sweet Designs Chocolatier were perfect party favors. For my dress, I always envisioned myself in a classic ballgown, on the order of Grace Kelly or Jacqueline Kennedy, and when the lovely ladies at Something White introduced me to Mallary by The Steven Birnbaum Collection (with a little bling on my sash from Lela Rose), I knew she was the dress of my dreams! Our day would not have been complete without showcasing some of our favorite things about our ethnic heritages -- we are both half Italian, so we said our “I Do’s” in Little Italy, and we invited a Middle Eastern band to parade us into the reception with some Lebanese beats for the other half of my family. Ben and I had so much fun (we have heard our guests did, too), and we are trying to think up ways we could do it all over again!
