Real Wedding: Caitlin & Franklin's Black-Tie Cincinnati Wedding

When a gorgeous art deco-inspired wedding turns into a surprise masquerade ball, it's nothing but magical! We love this modern take on a classic, timeless theme, and the bride's Watters gown is the perfect choice for such a glamorous, elegant wedding.

From the bride, Caitlin:

Franklin and I were inspired by the art deco feel of our reception venue, the Hall of Mirrors at the Hilton Netherland. The Lexington gown by Watters, the vintage fur pieces from Miranda's Vintage Bridal, and my old Hollywood wedding day hairstyle helped me to feel as though I fit the part at the Hall of Mirrors. Our wedding day was centered around what felt genuine and special to us -- Franklin got ready at the house he grew up in and I was able to get ready in the house that Franklin and I had recently purchased together as a couple. After the wedding, we had the opportunity to take pictures in front of our new house and in the park where we enjoy running together. Our band was selected not only because they are incredible, but also because Franklin took me to see them for one of our very first dates. We wanted to pay a few fun tributes to the fact that it was Halloween weekend. It was fun to have our initials and wedding date on pumpkins on our front porch for our pictures. The best Halloween tribute, though, was surprising our guests with masquerade masks at the reception. The masks and the music set the tone for the rest of the night. Everyone loved wearing their masks while we danced and celebrated with all of our family and friends. We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful wedding day to kick off our lives together as husband and wife.
