Kayla and Zachary met by chance at a high school football game and officially started dating on November 27. They always talked about getting married around Thanksgiving, but when they learned that both of their grandparents were married on Thanksgiving Day, that confirmed their choice. They decided on November 18 because it was close enough to Thanksgiving but also gave family and friends a chance to enjoy the holiday.
