There's something so romantic about getting married on the longest day of the year, especially when the wedding takes place in a location as utterly gorgeous as the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club in Gates Mills, Ohio. We especially love the long communal tables at the reception, where guests were served family style under twinkling lights, and that, to top off the night, the East Coast Custard truck showed up to serve guests ice cream ... What a perfect way to spend the longest day of the year!
From the bride: Our wedding took place on the first day of summer and longest day of the year. We wanted a casual yet elegant garden party feel to the wedding. We had a natural color palatte of greens, gray and ivory with pops of pink and “neon pastels.” We were married on the lawn at the Hunt Club under a big oak tree with the birds chirping as we said our vows. Dinner was served family style at long farm tables (made from reclaimed wood in Cleveland) on the porch with twinkle lights overhead. The East Coast Custard ice cream truck served late night ice cream and Special Request kept us dancing all night. It was the perfect celebration with our closest friends and family.
