Vintage Book-Themed Real Wedding in Cleveland

While of course we love all kinds of weddings around here, we have to admit we have a soft spot for those with vintage and handmade details. This real wedding in Cleveland with a vintage book theme is definitely no exception. The bride handmade the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, boutonnieres and all of the table and reception flowers out of old books, while also making or decorating a lot of the centerpiece decorations. Leaving no details overlooked, she even added lace appliques to her shoes. These handmade details along with vintage pieces she picked up on Etsy and antique stores make for a wedding that is truly one-of-a-kind and utterly adorable! All the photos are by Suzuran Photography.

From the bride: We knew going into planning our wedding that we wanted it to be two things: fun for everyone and unique. My theme was vintage books, since I've always loved books and reading and old-fashioned knick knacks. I tried to bring those elements into play with the book page roses and table letters with book quotes, as well as to include many vintage pieces of furniture and decorations. It took a LOT of hard work and late nights, as well as tons of help from my now-husband and friends, but I was able to hand make a lot of the decor and other visual elements so that the entire day truly reflected who we were. I would totally do it again...but I don't need to! I'm married to a wonderful man who has always supported me in everything I do (including several frenzied months of crafting and antique store shopping) and I know that all the work we put into creating a memorable and entertaining day that was infused with our personalities was 100% worth it!
